Radiology vs. Radiation Oncology

Yes, I know...the fields are completely different. However, are there any of you out there that considered going into Radiation Oncology but choose to go into Diagnostic Radiology instead? The two fields do have some similarities...highly competitive, good quality of life, good compensation. What about the future of the two fields, which field has a brighter future/more secure job market? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
