Lol - yeah, the funniest part being that Whitney is about 4 foot 11 and is often mistaken for a 10 year old (she's 24).

That will serve her well later on!

I have never had a cavity or anything either. Wisdom teeth are easy. Don't sweat it. I am a wimp. I had ZERO pain...NONE....ZILCH...ZIPPO.

Shoot, this is nothing. I had my front crowns replaced and a root canal done before my wedding last november.

In 30 years, I've only had 2 cavities - this was my first one (I was 21 when I got it) and the filling is falling out.

No biggie, but I did have extra popsicles tonight to numb the pain.

are you serious? that makes me feel better. I'll wait until they start hurting--which i hope is never

I am totally serious. My best friend came into town to take care of me (my sister and I had it done on the same day) and my mom kept telling me to keep my mouth shut. I felt fine. We stayed up talking until 2am. Don't wait until they start hurting. By that time they could be doing damage. Your dentist will tell you if/when they need to come out. Some people never have to worry about it.

But, really, it was totally easy.

Really, it didn't bother me. The initial shot of novocaine stung, but after that I felt no pain. The shot did wear off fast so I had to get 2-3 shots each visit, but it was fine.

I've always been comfortable at the dentist.

This time, I have to try a new one because I'm now on my husband's DMO (think HMO for dentists). I probably won't get in until next week!

I don't have a problem with the dentist either. I don't understand the fear that some people have about going. Then again, I have some totally irrational fears.

I had my wisdom teeth out in HS when I was still playing basketball. I had to miss a couple of practices and the jerk coach STILL made me run laps (like it was my fault) 😡 😡

What an A$$! I had a fabulous basketball coach in high school. It was an awful time in my life (I mean REALLY awful) and she went above and beyond. There are some great people like that. I am blessed to have had many of them in my life.

Yay!

I think his problem was that it was the first time he'd ever coached girls. Maybe a woman would be more sensitive than a man.

Y'all, I have to say (I know that this is supposed to be all anonymous and stuff)...I am so excited. Tony Snow was appointed to WH Press Sec today. (Duh. If you haven't heard.) I used to work with him. (Beary would love this.) The guy is so wonderful. Really.

That makes sense. How was he overall?

Eh - he was alright. He was too harsh, I thought. He trained us like guys in the weight room; we had a ton of blown knees and I think there is some link between the two. His offenses were truly uninspired. Like seriously, I have no gift for that stuff and I could have come up with better stuff. Plus he was really set in his ways, I was a way better outsider shooter and ball-handler than our point but he left me at center because I was tall.

I didn't have all the much trouble with getting my wisdom teeth removed, and I actually had to have surgery (w/ a general anaesthetic) to get them done. I was more nervous about the anesthetic than anything. I felt crummy for the rest of the day. I gave up my Tylenol 3's because they were making me woozy. I felt better for it too. The next day, all was good. Loved the milkshakes...a definate perk 🙂

Everytime I look at this thread it makes me happy and it's about 75% due to my cool SDN peeps and 25% due to getting to see sexy sexy Vin looking back at me.

Well, at least we are the 75% part! Of course, he really is worth more than 25%. 😍

As much as it pains me to say good-bye, I think I will for the night.

And so I sing....
So long
Farewell
(some German word that I can't spell)
Goodbye.

'night all.

Two were impacted, but they took all four out. I was under the impression (no put intended) that a local was used if wisdom teeth came through straight, but had to be removed anyway. Or was that just the good ol' days => had to walk uphill to school both days...the whole family had only one pair of shoes between all of them, etc., etc.

What? We quit planning a hit on the scrawny guy who stole Beary's place and the place goes silent!

Anyone?

Anyone?

That guy sucks. I know where he lives too. :meanie:

Good news is that my parents RAWK and they went up to Michigan today and bought me another house. I haven't seen it, even pictures, but they tell me it is very nice. 😀 Let's just hope this person doesn't decide tomorrow that they really don't want to sell it after all. 🙄

What is it about VH1 and their reality rehash shows that I just can't turn away??

I can't turn away either. I love those. I watch Best Week Ever every week. And of course I love the 80s which I have seen about 50 billion times.
