anyone know what the numbers are or their opinions on getting accepted into the school after being invited for an interview. obviously, getting the interview is amazing and greatly increases your chances, but is there a 50/50 chance of getting in after the interview or 70/30, 80/20...?

Based on the limited numbers I've seen, it tends to be 4/1. For instance, at my interview at Western Saturday they said thy typically receive ~1000 apps, and interview ~400-500 applicants for 120 seats. USC Will interview 500-600 for their ~150 seats. both cases it's like ~4/1. I don't know the waitlist/alternate stats, but I'd say probably 2.5-3/1 because it gives an automatic cushion of ~8-12.5% of your applicant pool. (40-50 alternates per class of 120-150)

My two schools are about a 50-50 chance once you interview. At one school they had about 1400 applicants, 300 interviewed for 165 spots. The other school is also about 1400 applicants, 350 interviewed for 155 spots.

just my thought but I would think they would accept greater than 50%. Somewhere in the range of 60-65%. Adcom has to factor in those who don't attend...

I think that's why they have waitlists.

But looking at the admission statistics for UMKC last Fall, 600 people applied, 200 were interviewed and 120 were accepted, so it's basically a 60% acceptance rate once you get an interview. Though, I'm not aware of any other schools with similar acceptance rates as UMKC. I know the acceptance rates are much lower where I live.

From the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy website:

Students Admitted in Fall, 2006

Applications received: 454
Applicants interviewed: 210

Students admitted: 140
Oklahoma City Admissions: 80
Tulsa Admissions: 60

That's a 67% rate after you get an interview. Mine's February 24. BOOMER SOONER.😛
