Re-Applicant Secondary Screening

Hey Everybody,

Quick question: is the secondary screening process any different for re-applicants?

I am re-applying to several schools that screen and I'm not sure whether or not I should start pre-writing. Since I received secondaries last cycle, would it be reasonable to assume that I'll get another shot this year? Or is the screening process much more stringent for re-applicants?

As someone who was rejected pre-interview at two schools I reapplied to (I got interviews at both the first time), I'd say no. Don't assume at all that you'll get another shot.
