Readings for the verbal section

those of you who scored high on the verbal section, what readings do you recommend. i did poorly on my diagnostic and i wanted to see if anyone has a good book/novel in mind that they found useful/similar to mcat verbal.

I got a 7 on my kaplan diagnostic and got a 12 on the real deal. I BEG YOU to buy the EK Verbal Reasoning -- awesome book, which I attribute my jump in VR to.
