Hello,
I am in the process of writing a recommendation for a former student of mine. I have written them for med students before but this is the first I have written for this purpose. I can comment on her academics but isnt manual dexterity fairly important to adcoms? please give me some advice on some particular areas I can comment on. Thank you very much.

Depending on what class you instructed your student in, perhaps you can comment on her dexterity in lab work. Have you observed her participation in any extracurricular activities that might testify to her dexterity (sports, artwork, instrument playing)?
