I registered for the computerized test in Atlanta, so I got my test site about 3 days after registering.

Regular mail.... They have to send you the ticket. I dont know if I ever got anything in electronic format from them.

I got mine via snail mail two days ago.

I signed up to take it on my University's campus, but the AAMC site didn't say which building it would be in. In the recent years people took the MCAT in the building that offers nice big, spacious desks with comfortable seats.

This year I'm taking the MCAT in a crappy building: small desks, cramped seats.

I got mine 2 days ago also. Having the paperwork in front of me was a definite reality check for me to turn it up!

I got mine yesterday via snail mail. I got my first choise location, so I'm happy about that.

via my automated reply email from AAMC:

"Admission tickets will be mailed beginning approximately five weeks prior to the test date (please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery)."


So I guess early to mid March would be the expected time to receive it.

i was afraid they got the wrong address, but i got my admission ticket in the mail on monday. they do say 5 weeks before the exam but i think they send them earlier if you registered earlier.

I sent the money in like one of the first days..and JUST got mine today..
...I'm taking it at Northwestern...a place where no one has anything good to say about it! They have small desk space!! I'm a big guy I need some desk space!!! I dont' know what to do...is their any way I can request to be in a room with a larger desk space...or even change the center?

I got mine today, woohoo!! I'm so happy I got my first choice. I found out my second choice was having concerts/excuse for college students to get drunk all day in the coutyard outside of the building where the test is (UMBC testing site, just to warn!)

You're going to be even more broke if the the testing centers around you are full, and you have to drive to a distant city and pay for a hotel/motel or something.

I thought I registered pretty early so I called up the boys up in Iowa to ask what's up. Apparently, Memphis with its population of over a million folk only needs a test center for 25 people... 😱

Received ticket today with first location choice. Attending a school with tons of pre-meds and living in a state with a high university/land area ratio is definitely helpful.

Did anybody else intentionally pick a test site that is further away than another test site as their first option? I figure I will have less chance of running into familiar faces and a better chance of focusing early. I did the same thing for the SAT.

by the way, what are you guys gonna do about this 2inch x 2inch picture of yourself that has to be taped on the ticket? how the hell do you get one of those?

I think most people use passport photos taken at office max or wherever.

I would have done this, but it would have been a pain in the ass driving to a place that I had not been before so I decided to stick with a place I was familiar with.
