I've gotten 2 LOR's from clinics in Texas (worked in a hospital, but the individual doctors gave letterheads with their clinics). also, one of them passed away. is that LOR still 'valid'?

I've done some observer-ship work in Canadian clinics, did one year of 4 specialities (3 months each- gen surgery, internal med, anesthesia, radio) after graduating in my country of med for 1 year

I haven't done any research, electives or published anything (my school didn't focus on it and I didn't realize at that time either)

So I just wanted to get some advice as to what I should start doing now to still have chances to match come the time. I know I'm in a bad position and I need to score really well, but I still want to improve my resume however possible. Thank you!
