Just got an interview from SLU today by snail mail (1/25). It was a really thin envelope so I expected a rejection and didn't feel like opening it. It sat on my desk all day, and when I finally opened it (after the SLU office closed for the day) I was kind of shocked. I was complete around November. Does anyone know if they have regional interviews for the So Cal area?

i emailed them back literally less than a minute after recieving the email. they confirmed my choice around 2:30pm. Sorry to hear those dates were full. They will have more though after the 16th, right? It sounded like those were just their immediate openings and if you couldn't make one of those they'd be in touch with other later dates.

I e-mailed Christine Moran, the coordinator for MSTP applicants. I would suggest checking the website for the MD coordinator. Many of the UCSD students I know didn't interview until April, so keep your head up PatentGuy33! They love research folks.

However, I have yet to receive any kind of response. Did she just get back to you today? I hope I hear something positive soon, it's been 1.5 months since I got anything besides a rejection from a med school.

I also sent a letter of interest to Dr. Callahan about 2 weeks ago, and she wrote back yesterday that I would be contacted for an interview. There seems to be a lot of us doing this. I wonder if we're people they were planning to interview already, or what.

I got an invite late at night by email, she did not respond to the email I sent her, it was just an invitiation to interview email....i think i got it around 11:30pm, dont worry mistresss, i'm sure your's is coming in the next day or two

the invite was for april 15th, im trying to reschedule because I plan on leaving for south america in a month, so if anybody is withdrawing from jefferson, please let me know!!!

to those who have sent emails but haven't heard from jeff.. i interviewed there yesterday, and was talking to the admisssions director, mrs. hershman. she said that they were all booked up until their last interview date, so perhaps that is why you haven't heard. but she emphasized that this is a dynamic process, and that people will cancel their interviews so I'm sure that slots will open at some time. if i were you, i would wait a bit and then send another email to both callahan and hershman reiterating your interests, and asking them to keep you in mind if any interview dates open up... they said that they really appreciate interest in their school so emailing definitely doesn't hurt.. oh actually, I remember mrs. hershman saying she wasn't much of an email person--she prefers letters.. so send her a letter and email callahan...

Got an email invite today. My file was complete in Sept (9/29), invited today (2/9), scheduled for 2/18. By the way, I wrote them a letter of interest/update two weeks ago. Take that for what its worth, but I am not a big believer in coincidences.
