Hello All,

I figured the best people to ask this question would be the ones who have already taken all the pre reqs, the MCAT and know can look back and say "If I would have had that book when I was actually taking Gen Chem / O Chem / PHY etc... not just for the MCAT prep, man would I have done even better in my pre req classes"

I am a non trad doing a 1 year program to knock off my pre reqs at NYU. Any advice on books you would think would be helpful additions to my studies to make sure I get A's would be appreciated!

Thanks for your input all!

Do very well in your classes and then while you are in your classes, get a kaplan or princeton review book and do those questions, then do as many of those as you can. The mcat is a practice, practice, practice test. The more you practice, the higher your score. (especially in verbal). Practice more verbal than you think you need to. You should be able to get old MCAT tests and do as many as you can. I would do one every Saturday starting 3 months out from the real thing. Find out where you are weak and go back to your kaplan and princeton books and do more of those problems.

The mcat is basically a reading comp. test. So, the more you do, the more you see how to pick out the details quickly. Practice problems, practice problems, practice problems!!!

good luck
