Two items:

1. Has anyone actually been able to attain a REFUND for AMCAS not rendering the services paid for? They keep sending my schools MCAT scores that are not mine (and are significantly lower than my bona fide scores!). Bastards. In addition, I've been lied to (blatantly) and told the situation had been rectified several times (it hasn't). So, I'm gonna request a refund...and that makes me about the 1000th person to do so, right? Let me know if you've had any luck with this tiresome venture.

2. This may be a dumb question, but I'm kinda wigged out by the little red X's on my application that appeared about 2 weeks ago and haven't budged. Is this normal? What's the waiting time usually? And....is this holding up my schools from inviting me to interview or whatnot?

***Thanks for the input***
😕 🙂 😕

Red X's mean your application is either in the verification process or has been verified (if the later, there will be a date after Date Processed in the upper right hand corner of the app on the "Print application" screen). I would contact Nancy Tillinghast immediately and threaten legal action unless your correct scores are immediately transmitted to your schools. You'll be surprised how fast they can move when threatened with legal action. In the meantime, will your schools take copies of your score report?

It can be a really long time between X's and processed. Been 3 weeks for me...and I've been verified apparently!

As far as getting a refund, I wouldn't hold your breath. A few of us actually wrote a joint letter detailing all the reasons we should get a refund a while back ( do a search for the thread "Letter to the President of AMCAS" if you want to read it), but as far as I know, no one did. I never even got a response to the letter.

I wrote a letter that I was contacting my lawyer and pursuing a legal suit...anyway...didn't end up having too...I had verification in less than a week...I submitted 1st week of July, and got verified last week.
