At our institution, these are two entirely separate fellowships, although I believe we allow doing a month rotation cross-over.

I don't know if other places separate the two. Sorry.

Totally different. Regional is NOT an official ACGME accredited fellowship at this time. Regional is more periop blocks (for example what most anesthesiologists do everyday).

Pain is dealing with chronic patients in an outpatient setting typically.
