Registering for the AOA match

So I seriously just registered for the match and I see the website recommends to register in November, doh!

Whats the deal with registering for the match in November when you can't put a rank list in until January? I guess I really don't understand this whole process......I must be the only one confused and tired.....

If it is anything like the ACGME, it is so they can bombard your ERAS account with spam, notices about web chats and online seminars and such crap.

Plus, they would rather you register early in case you decide to withdraw later to participate in NRMP. That way, they get your money.
