I know this was mentioned in other threads, but I don't remember nobody saying that it actually worked.
I got a pre-secondary rejection from a top 20 school. After talking to a friend who goes there, I decided to sent a letter asking them to reconsider and a week later, I got invited for an interview.
I guess one thing that might have made a difference is that my friend put a good word for me, but now I wish I would have done this with other schools. So, for all the people out there who might have considered this at some point, it can work, and is totally worth it.
Of course, it could possibly only change a pre-secondary rejection to a post-interview rejection, but at least I got the satisfaction of being given a fair shot.
