Releasing Scores Post AMCAS

When I submitted AMCAS I did not check that I was taking the August MCAT but ended up registering for the test at the last minute. Does anyone know if the schools I applied to will receive the scores anyhow since it's still AAMC? Or will I have to request score reports to them at a later time?

They'll get it. AMCAS discloses everything.....everything!!!

BUT, they won't wait for them to evaluate your application. The schools will evaluate you based on April.

If you check the box, they'll hold off making a decision until they receive August scores.

Be sure to contact individual schools indicating that additional scores will be forthcoming... otherwise, it's possible that your application could be prematurely acted upon before they receive the August scores (I know... this happened to me and I had to call them up a second time b/c they didn't get my notice in time). Unfortunately, AMCAS refuses to change this after you submit (although they will forward the scores once they arrive). hope this helps!
