If you really, really, really want to, go to a Rent-A-Center. But, why?

cause that is what the Army pays for..........and..........no wait...that is the only reason :meanie:

The Army will pay for a rental? Thats usually the most expensive way to get a computer - you wind up paying for the entire computer in less than a year., and you don't own it later. Also, you're usually in a longer-term relationship (2-3 years) and can't easily get out of it, so you're paying a lot for outdated technology.

You can get very serviceable laptops for around a grand, at Costco, Bestbuy, etc.

I am told that the HPSP will pay for a computer "rental" not lease, not buy...it is silly, i know...but apparently the way the system is set up. I hope there is a loophole.

if there is i havent seen it

What a waste government spending. It is little things like this that add up to give us such a great deficeit.

thats too bad... yeah, renting a laptop is a really bad deal - I had to rent one for like a week last year when mine was being repaired (it felt like the biggest waste of money ever)

but hey, if you're not going to pay for it, and therefore not worried about the cost, look in the phonebook for a small computer/laptop retailer, many of them do rent out laptops
