I know this is overdone but I already have a few acceptances and I want to just throw myself out there by requesting interviews at the following schools when I will be in the city in January.

If you have successfully emailed a school to request an interview please respond to the post:

honestly, you shouldn't request an interview until later in the cycle. it's only early november. you still have the rest of the year before you need to panic.

secondly, wtf, are you emailing a request????????? most adcoms prefer type-written letters via snail mail.

If you have an interview from one school in a given city, and you'd be traveling at least 100 miles from home, it is OK to call (or e-mail, e-mail is totally OK) the other school(s) where you have submitted applications and say, "I'll be interviewing at PooPoo Medical School on January 12 and if it would be possible to interview at World's Finest Medical School that same week, I'd really appreciate having to make just one trip from East Jeepers."
