There's a number of really good blogs related to surgery on the web. First and foremost to me is one called "A chance to cut" which is by an anonymous general-trauma surgeon somewhere in the Southeast (Georgia, I think?). The topics vary from social to surgical commentary. What's never missing is some really good insight into all that's good (and bad) with contemporary Medicine & Surgery. Check out some of the archived stuff on surgical residency, it's really quality stuff. "Bard Parker" is my blogging hero!

Shameless plug: I've just started dabbling with my own blog which will focus on Plastic Surgery and related things. http://plasticsurgery101.blogspot.com/

I like this blog. It's written by a guy who calls his kids "surglings" and who refers to his wife as SWIMBO, which is a not-so exact acronym for "she who must be obeyed."

Some posts aren't as interesting as others, but it's usually a good read.
