I know Albert Einstein requires two letters, one from one's major department and the other from a science faculty. UC davis requires one from a non-science faculty. I have a few science faculty that are very willing to write me letters, but I never got to know any of my non-science professors, including those from the psychology department--my major. What other schools require non-science faculty letters of rec.?

UCDavis values that the student will try his/her best to get that non-science letter of recommendation, thus placing it in their requirements.... Just thought I'd put that in....

I'm not sure if it's too late for you, but what I did was constantly visit the office hours of my English prof and thus she got to know me outside the classroom.... She was not shocked that I eventually wanted a letter from her :D.... I remain in contact with her.....

Best wishes....

Saint Louis U. also wants one non-science
letter of rec.
