Dear friends and foes
Like to get people's views.
1. I have a paper in the progress, has not gone onto the reviewer, but looks like June 1 will be the date it goes out to a reviewer. Should I mention this on my application even though theoretically it has not been put into print. It has been presented in meetings and such and a poster was made just hasn't been published as a paper. For those interested it was a paper on 2G and its effects on bone metabolism markers in the monkey model. I have work that was published in meetings as a meeting abstract, I plan on adding those to my application. Talking to other collegues, I should have mentioned this the first time around. First time that I have been given a paper and had to write and research other studies for. Most time I have been given secondary authorship, but this paper I will be considered first author.
2. I plan applying to my instate schools, but I would like to get everyone thoughts on outstate schools. Last cycle I applied to Marquette, I am on the waitlist, so this fiasco of applying a second time could be avoided if I come of the waitlist.
3. My GPA as of right now is 3.2, and a 17 DAT, ( I am going to take another DAT and buy the kaplan course. I think I need the structure of class and helps that I am paying the 1000 myself, a little more incentive.
4. Schools of interest
BOSTON, LOMA LINDA, CASE WESTERN, ARIZONA, UNLV, Creigton, and MARQUETTE again.
anyone think of schools to apply to with my stats from above.
