Hello all!

So I was given a wonderful opportunity to continue working in the radiation oncology field during my first Year, however, I have no desire to go into that field of medicine for practice. The research itself is just extremely interesting and has been since I started in undergrad.

As of right now I am leaning towards anesthesiology and need advice.. do residencies view non-field specific reasesrch as a bad thing? I really hope to go into academic medicine as well and continue to do research.

Any and all opinions are appreciated!
This topic has been beaten like a dead horse. Use the search method next time. No, it is not a bad thing. Any research is good research. Is it better to be specific? Yes. Is it harmful to not be specific? No. You’re welcome.
