Hey everyone, so I was wondering if the type of research you do matters for med school admissions. Does it have to be exactly medical or can it be health related like physical fitness/exercise science?

Nope. Research something that you find interesting.

Being able to explain your research (theory, background, hypothesis, how it contributed to the field, any potential medically relevant questions it may elude to) is more or less a skill you should be have should your potential interviewer ask you about it.
