On the MSAR there is a search option that says research thesis, and many schools come up under the required option. Does this mean that an undergraduate research thesis is required, or something else?

Sector9's response may have been sarcastic (hard to tell over the internet), but on the off chance it wasn't research is absolutely NOT required in med school.

I should have been more clear. The MSAR is saying which schools require their students to perform a research thesis during medical school. And yes, quite a few schools do require it (some require community service as well)
