Hi,

I've still got a while to go, but I was wondering if there was some sort of database to search for residencies that offered separate tracks to MD/PhD applicants. I know they are out there, but the information isn't very organized (aside from good old-fashioned web browsing!). Any suggestions?

Thanks  )

For whatever field you are in you need to search the frieda database (AMA website) for residencies that are research track residencies. Most of the MD/Phd students go into medicine (at my school anyway) and most of the top notch programs have specific and accelerated combined track that combines residency, fellowship, and research (with less clinical time and more research time). So if you wanted to be a cardiology researcher you could match at these 6-7 year research track programs with a garunteed cardiology fellowship (most likely at a top notch medicine program).

Otherwise you match like the rest of us at regular categorical programs.
