Hi everyone,
I'm a medical student and will be starting my first year of MBBS this September in Mumbai, India.
I'm really keen on doing my residency as well as practicing in the US after finishing my MBBS here in 2021.
I want to start prepping as much as I can right from first year, and would really appreciate some guidance with this.
I know that I have to clear USMLE Step 1, Step 2 ck and cs with good scores and then get my H1 visa.
Are there any other requirements or criteria that need to be met?
After completing these steps, how should one go about applying for residency and how does the process exactly work, also how long can it take?
Also, how useful are research projects undertaken during MBBS, Publications, Electives or observerships overall and how can these help your application?
