Hello everyone. Is anyone aware of a post doc in residential psych for children/adolescents or forensic psych, like a juvenile detention center in the DMV area? Thank you!

I’m also very interested in this info but just nationally. What is the DMV area?

The Child Study and Treatment Center in Washington State has both a treatment and forensic postdoc. The center does inpatient and outpatient child and adolescent forensic evaluations, and the treatment side has inpatient experience with children and adolescents. I believe it's run through the University of Washington.

In NJ, Rutgers UCHC has internships where you are at a juvenile detention center. I'm not sure if they have formal postdocs, but you can check it out.

The Forensic Evaluations Unit housed within Mecklenburg County’s Criminal Justice Services department

Googling "forensic psychology postdocs" and including juvenile, children, and/or adolescents in that search will be fruitful. That will also produce the link to list of the sites that are accepted for the experience ABPP waiver. Some "adult" or "regular" sites will also have a need for juvenile evals.
