Resources/books for working with children who sexually act out?

Hello, I’m working with a child who is sexually acting out towards a younger child . CPS has been notified and I am trying to find a consultant to guide me in this treatment. I was reaching out to see if anyone has any treatment manuals or book recommendations for working with children or adolescents who sexually act out? I have experience working with sexual abuse victims, but do not have experience with those who sexually act out towards others. Thank you.

I'd consider a referral to a sex offender treatment provider if I was in your position. It's a separate credential attached to a mental health license so you can search your state's licensing board authority for providers in your area.

What’s the general age of the child you are treating? This is very different in a 7 year-old versus a 15 year-old.

Yeah, I wouldn't go near this with a ten foot pole. Given the potential for harm, it's best to refer out to a specialist.
