I've taken a few practice exams and I don't recall there being much, if any, anatomy regarding the respiratory system on the MCAT. One of my Prep books has an entire chapter dealing with it. Should I bother going in detail with it or just skim?

Respiratory system...hmm?

Here's what I studied:
Lung anatomy- alveoli, alv. sac, blood flow.
Physiology: oxygen diss curve co2 dis curve
hemoglobin
myoglobin
negative pressure (guage)
I can't think of anything else.
Be able to follow an oxygen molecule through the body. Same w/ co2/ carbonic acid etc.

OK thanks. THat's sums up about most of what I needed to know. There's stuff in my book on other anatomical features that I wasn't sure about whether I should really go through in depth or just5 skim. Peace.

its one of those topics that you might get 1 passage on. not something that will come up 100%. i'd study for it if i were you. the topics above are good to know.

the hemoglobin oxygen saturation curve is one of the most notorious recurring figures on the mcat... know it well!!!
