HI,
I just got my april mcat scores back---10V; 9P; 9B. Should I retake it? I'm in ny and plan on applying to state schools. I don't have many extras and no research--hospital volunteer , lots of patient contact , am a nursing assistant. Bio major with a 3.3 gpa (because of one awful grade as a freshman and a c in a summer physics class.) Got mostly A's in bio classes and organic chem. Any advice? Do i have a shot?

I think your MCAT is close to the average for matriculated students (you can check the AAMC website to be sure). Your GPA is on the low side however. To compensate for the GPA, you really should have an MCAT over 30, 33+ being more ideal. I would suggest applying to your state schools and some mid-lower tier private schools if you try for this year.
