saw a few poster's on the fence about retakes and there chances. Im in the same boat, and thought i would give us a home.

Please post help those of us who are up in the air find some peace again, sagely wisdom from those in the know is alwasy appreciated.

to start, here is my story (copied from another thread)

30 O with a 3.3

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

30 O 10's across the board and a less than stellar 3.3 gpa, with a bio major should i be taking this again? i graduated from Umass amherst 2 years ago and have been doing lab work, and volunteering abroad, some medical publications. truth is I voided my august 2003 mcats when i realized i was way to rusty, needed some serious work. 33 was my magic number but i really dont want to blow another summer on this. should i just apply? apply and then take again in august anyway? whoa im going nuts

also congrats to everyone, regardless of score that beast is an ordeal in itself. anyone who says 8 hours (thats how long it took my test site) of standardized testing, asking frenzied questions requiering you to bubble in your fate with a no.2 pencil isnt an ordeal is full of it. Im going to buy myself a motorcycle now.

I am in the EXACT same position. I made a 30M on this past MCAT and have a 3.5 with a 3.3 science GPA. I also took the August 2003 MCAT but voided it after the verbal section. I was thinking of retaking it in August (my practice scores were in the 32-33 range), but I also don't want to be considered late. Would it be worth it to retake, assuming I could pull my scores up 2-3 points? Any thoughts?
