Neither would affect your GPA at all, since it's exactly the same. But how it displays it is two separate courses (the latter).

It wouldn't affect my GPA if I retook a course and got an A?

No, I'm saying representing your grade as an average (B+) or of two grades (B- and A) wouldn't affect your GPA. It's still averaged in.
