retaking the MCAT

well, i don't *think* it's affected my application any that i had to take it twice. i ended up waiting two years before applying, so taking the august test wasn't a problem at all. i did have an interviewer say "hm. took the MCAT twice." and i said "yes, i did" and left it at that. 🙂
i have been told that as long as you are confident that you can do better the second time around, it is not a problem.
and, as for withholding scores, i wouldn't do it. i thought i did horribly while i was taking that 32 MCAT - i had to step out of the room during the verbal because i thought i was going to throw up. i remember wondering if i should leave even before the test was over - i was really surprised when i opened up that score envelope. so you never know! 🙂
