Review of the 4 years of med school?

I know all med schools do it differently, but over and over again i have heard that in Canadian med schools the first 2 years are more lecture based and the last 2 years are in the hospital training. Is that true for all Canadian med schools?

I have also questioned how hard med school would be for someone who didn't do an undergrad in pre-med but has the prerequisites for med school, many have told me that the first 2 years of med school are kind of like review of pre-med in uni with a more disciplined focus on some units of study. Is that true?
