Reviewing a personal statement

Is there a subforum for asking people to look over your personal statement?

I've just finished my second draft and I think it is pretty decent, however I am afraid that while the goal of my paper was to show why I want to be a doctor, there might be a "pity" undertone because the paper describes how I dealt with adversity. I don't want the pity aspect so I'm doing my best to get rid of it.

Just looking for extra sets of eyes I guess.

there is usually a thread that has a bunch of people willing to read personal statements. it will come out closer to the app season coming up, but if you can't wait, try searching for this cycles thread. Maybe some in there will.

also ask for input from professors, LOR writers, etc.
