I've currently in the process of writing essays for the same prompts for the same schools during my reapplication process. Many of the questions seem rather close ended: describe what you'd like most/least about medicine, why do you want to apply to our school, etc.

I'd love to write new material, but as its tands, I can only think towards my original material for anything genuine. Anyone have any tips for this?

Were secondaries your weakness last cycle? If so, then I would rewrite. If you can't think of something new use the same topic, but use better style. Perhaps you didn't convey your feelings clearly.

If however secondaries were not your weakness, and it was stats, LORS, or ECs, then you could just reuse the old material, since the problem is elsewhere.

Last year after you got rejected did you contact schools to ask why?
