they are calling!!! I got a message today... and I also received the acceptance letter in the mail, today!!!! yeah!!!! I wonder why they are calling... anyone know... I couldnt call back on time....I'm on the West coast!

I interviewed Sept. 15 and have been checking my mailbox all week!!!! No mail, no phone call yet! ARRGGHHH!

I interviewed on September 1st -- still no mail. I spoke to the Admissions Office today and they said decisions were made and mailed on anyone who interviewed by 9/23. Good luck to all.

Hmm, so the decisions will be mailed? Some people have gotten calls of acceptance...which makes me wonder, did they say they were *calling* everyone who got accepted?
Or just a few exceptional candidates? Or just the few that were convenient to reach??

Well that's odd...I also called admissions on thursday and asked the lady how would we be notified and she said by mail. Now I'm going to freak out hehe, kidding, just stand by the mailbox and harass the mailman 😀

I'm sorry guys to hear you were waitlisted 🙁 When did you interview? I interviewed on Sep 22nd and there is NADA in my mailbox....so probably a rejection is on its way (or a waitlist), i'm just gonna go to my hole and cry Best of luck to the ones still waiting

I interviewed there 10/17 and I'm already sick of waiting . . . based on how long it took for you guys I suppose I have another 2-4 weeks (perhaps longer). When going through this I thought the secondaries were the worst, then it was the cost of interviewing, then it was making time for all the interviews, but no, the worst is actually waiting to hear back . . . sigh . . .

Someone said in the Rochester class of '09 thread that the waitlist is unranked. My letter said I wouldn't hear before March, but I'm sure it won't be until after May 15.

I just interviwed at Rochester and it has become my top choice. Do you know when in the month they meet? Is it just at the end of the month? They said that since we interviewed at the end of October we might have to wait and be rolled in with the November interviewes. Does that mean I have to wait until the end of December?

It's killing me already!

I almost don't want to...it's like what do I have to look forward to besides more grovelling update letters and perhaps no acceptance in the end? Anyway, I had mixed feelings when visiting Rochester...I don't know if their waiting list is worth it.

I know it's just my pride getting in the way, but I am really dragging my feet on this letter to Dean Hansen. He was also one of my interviewers, and no, that interview did not go well. It was hard enough writing a thank you note...now I have to write another one?!!

hey, for all of those who got waitlisted and are thinking about telling them you don't want to be on the waitlist, I say do it! Show them who is boss!

Rochester sucks...cold weather...everybody is mean....people suck...school sucks...everything sucks...

I would know...I went there for undergrad
















(ok I confess, I'm just saying to do this because I want less competition on the waitlist in case I get waitlisted (interviewed in mid october), since Rochester is one of my top choices)

but I did really go to Rochester for undergrad, and everything I said up top is not true (ok, for most people the weather sucks, but I like the cold, so it was fine for me)
