Anybody knows what's the best way of getting there? I'm in NYC. Don't ask what I'm doing taking the test there... i don't know myself.. 🙁(( Thanks, guys.

Im in rochester and took my mcat at the U of rochester. Its pretty easy to find, just go on the thruway till exit 46 . Then head twords rochester till you see the signs for the UR, (or the Monroe com coll, where it is also offered.)
let me know if you need more specific instructions

Thanks a lot!!!! I was hoping that sm1 would like to join me to go there, but nobody is probably going there from NYC.. can't blame them 🙂 I guess it would take a while to drive (or by bus), so I was thinking about leaving a day before and staying at some motel or anything of that sort... do you know if it will be hard to find one, when I get there or should I try to reserve a place in some hotel? Hotel might be more expensive though 🙁 Thanks again.. 🙂

Its about a six hour drive on a good day from the city, so i would definaltyl reccomend getting here early to rest. there are plenty of motels and hotels, but booking early is a good idea. If you reserve now you could get a room for about 45-55. (if you want a nice room, its a bit more) . THere are also times when it can be very hard to find a room, and if you do it can be expensive.

Also, you might consider JEt blue, its pretty cheap, and the airport is less than 10 mins from the university.

Good luck with everything

PM me if you need any specific questions answered about the area.

Hi. i'm in Rochester too. Definately get here the day before! Flights from NYC on jet blue are usually around 100$ roundtrip. Train takes a long time, and probably more money. you shouldn't have any trouble with hotels, although i would book it before u come. I took MCAT at Monroe Community College (MCC) in Rochester last year and am going again this year. U of R i have heard too many complaints about on test day, ie AC quit, too loud, etc... So I would recommend MCC over UR. There are several hotels right near MCC, probably within walking actually..I would go to MCC website if u decide to go there and they have hotel info nearby. hope this helps. 🙂
