does anyone what is the interview based on??
could you please share experience of your interview?
I will appreciate your help.

yes, it will be great if someone could share the experience. thanks

Who ever has applied to AEGD program at Eastman dental Rochester, not to worry who ever haven't gotten the iv invites yet coz they call almost everyone who applies

does anyone of you know the criteria that Rochester uses to select the candidates for interview? I have a long gap of 6 years in my career. So I am a bit worried thinking that would they consider me or not.
They call almost everyone for the interview

Interview process starts at around 8am in the morning and ends around 5-530pm, all the interviewees are called in alphabetic order, whosever last name starts with Z, I m afraid u r looking at 5pm till u get done with your interview. There will be 3 interviews in total, One with the chair Dr Malmstorm, second will be with the assistant director and clinical director Dr Yunker and Dr Ghanem respectively, they both take interview together, then last but not the least interview will be with Galina, she is the administer, doesn't make sense that she takes interview but she takes it any way. u will be served breakfast and lunch, u will be given a tour of the whole Eastman. Good luck everyone

I did not receive either. :( . I think is a regular interview as any other. Fingers crossed!

1.How were the interviewers ?? Cool or strict?
2.And how many fellow candidates were there??
3.Did they ask you any clinical questions or just basic questions??
I have my interview on November 2nd.

There selection criteria is somewhat funny, there are some residents who are I admit qualified, but there are some residents who really makes u think that why in the world they got accepted, also ppl who do preceptor-ship at Eastman also have a better chance of getting in, it doesn't matter if u are highly qualified, if u do preceptorship for 6months or a year and u are a decent person in general, chances are u will get in, u will get in for two reasons, one u pay a good some of money for preceptorship, secondly u show them what u r capable of and u can get along with other ppl well. Other than that, if u have research experience, back home clinical experience, a post graduation, and u r able to speak good English in the interview, be humble and try ur best to sell urself in the interview specially to malmstorm, there is no doubt that u will get in. hope that helps, good luck

Hardly 10 mins each. They are not asking too many questions. Just question like: what are your goals, tell me about yourself etc. that's it.

Hi guys! It is a good program. Good first impression is important. I don't know "the plus" but research experience could be one, but don't worry, be yourself

After having second thoughts about the AEGD program at Rochester, I'm honestly going to make it my first choice when I apply to the states. It sounds way better than the standing programs.

Depends on ur priority, if ur desire is to get DDS degree then advance standing otherwise if u want to be able to practice in few states, AEGD is not a bad option

Good morning Folks! How are you doing? Any batches of interview? Any news? Mine is in November 2dn, I'm very anxious about it. Good luck for all of us!

Hello Marmelstein,
Yes, I live in US. May be I applied very late that’s why I got this interview date

My interview today was straightforward ,they asked to talk abou yourself, why I would choose you, what you do in your free time...the interview takes hardly 10-15minutes...

Thank you for you reply Raq2017.
You mean 10-15min/person or overall??
I heard that Dr. Yunker and Dr.Ghanem are very particular and ask you each single detail?

10-15 min each person...dr yunker wants to know your background same thing dr malmstrom

Yesterday I had my interview at Eastman.I was amazed with family like environment! We had a great tour by one of the resident from England. She took her time to show us everything! They have great facilities and great library where you can work on your presentation. The interview was very friendly. Dr.Ghanem and Dr.Yunker were asking straight forward questions. Very nice, positive people. Just be yourself, show them who you are as a person and what you can do further. Galina Torres said that this program is very challenging and asked if you can handle this. Dr. Marmelstein asked tell me about yourself and why this program. Also we spoke with many residents and assistants. They did great presentation at the auditorium.Best of luck to all of you! Drive safe and don't exceed your speed limit because you will see many police officers out there. Best of luck Raq2017 thank you for your input!
