They call almost everyone for the interviewdoes anyone of you know the criteria that Rochester uses to select the candidates for interview? I have a long gap of 6 years in my career. So I am a bit worried thinking that would they consider me or not.
They do not require ADATDid you guys take adat before apply to Aegd ?
Interview process starts at around 8am in the morning and ends around 5-530pm, all the interviewees are called in alphabetic order, whosever last name starts with Z, I m afraid u r looking at 5pm till u get done with your interview. There will be 3 interviews in total, One with the chair Dr Malmstorm, second will be with the assistant director and clinical director Dr Yunker and Dr Ghanem respectively, they both take interview together, then last but not the least interview will be with Galina, she is the administer, doesn't make sense that she takes interview but she takes it any way. u will be served breakfast and lunch, u will be given a tour of the whole Eastman. Good luck everyoneyes, it will be great if someone could share the experience. thanks

hi Dr's I had my iv last Tuesday dr malmstorm will ask you to talk about your self and your goals, he will ask some Q about your experience and research, then he'll ask where do you see your self 5 years from now?
next is galina she will ask same Q and she will ask why we should choose you???
dr Yanker and dr ghanem is the most horrible moment. they go for almost every details in your resume, then they ask if you have any Q. there was some Dr's from inside UR masters program applied to aegd .
good luck every one

Thank you hola83 for the informative post!!
Wish you all the very best!!!
I have few questions:-
1.How were the interviewers ?? Cool or strict?
2.And how many fellow candidates were there??
3.Did they ask you any clinical questions or just basic questions??
I have my interview on November 2nd.
This is my first interview so super nervous
Thanks in advance.
Thanks for sharing your experience, it is helpful. did you get to talk to the current residents? were they ab;e to tell what the selection criteria is?[/QUOTE
There selection criteria is somewhat funny, there are some residents who are I admit qualified, but there are some residents who really makes u think that why in the world they got accepted, also ppl who do preceptor-ship at Eastman also have a better chance of getting in, it doesn't matter if u are highly qualified, if u do preceptorship for 6months or a year and u are a decent person in general, chances are u will get in, u will get in for two reasons, one u pay a good some of money for preceptorship, secondly u show them what u r capable of and u can get along with other ppl well. Other than that, if u have research experience, back home clinical experience, a post graduation, and u r able to speak good English in the interview, be humble and try ur best to sell urself in the interview specially to malmstorm, there is no doubt that u will get in. hope that helps, good luck
Thank you so much!!1) very cool
2) we were 30 in total
3) basic
Hope that helps.
