Room for rent near ucd medical center and midtown. $675, includes utilities. we are a mid twenties couple with a room for rent in a fully furnished 2 bedroom 1 bath house, steps away from the medical center, blocks from light rail, and within biking distance of all of midtown/downtown and CSUS.
The house has a large deck in the back yard, washer and dryer, central heating and air, a garage with room for storage, hard wood floors, and a fireplace.
about us:
We are both students, one pre-PA and UCD employee, one Public health student. We are into indie rock, nintendo, mac's, vinyl records, home cooking, politics, npr, puzzles, board games, books, medicine, animals, activism, and the like. We have two cats, and one small dog, but are currently looking for a second small dog so he can have a buddy. We keep the house comfortable but by no means run the heating and air all the time.
you should: be fairly quiet, comfortable around animals, (i.e. able to not accidentally let the cats out, ok with the occasional dog vomit, etc) nominally eco-friendly, or at least willing to separate your recyclables out, and turn your lights off when your not home. Aside from that most anything goes, we are not looking for someone who parties at home, and we hardly drink ourselves, but since we would be roommates and not parents whatever you did away from home would be your business.
Ideally we would like someone who would not just rent a room but also share our home. We are flexible about the move in date, but ideally would want somebody anywhere from in the next couple weeks to the next couple months. you must have good rental history, a verifiable income, and references. Note that we aren't looking for a short-term/just for the summer roommate. Pictures available by request
