Hey Guys;

I just got my Acceptance Letter from RFU and on the Acceptance Response Form, the option for accepting the offer reads "I accept the offer of admission. I understand by indicating my acceptance, I promise to matriculate into the 2006/2007 entering class at The Chicago Medical School........I have enclosed $100 as a deposit to hold my place in class."

Now, because it reads " I promise to matriculate....", does that mean, I cannot withdraw my application in case I decide to attend another medical school before May 15th???? 😕

Thanks for your help

It looks that way, although anything that is called a deposit generally indicates that you can pull out as long as you are willing to forfeit your $100. I don't think it is binding, even though the letter does seem to suggest so...

Congrats on the acceptance, by the way 👍

Of course you can withdraw. If it was a "real" promise they'd ask for more than a $100 deposit to consummate it.

I have also been accepted there, and since it is my only acceptance so far I have put $ down...if you read further on down that letter it states that as long as you pull out before May you get your $ back. So, don't worry about it! Better to be safe than sorry!

I was accepted there last year, put the deposit down, withdrew before 5/15, and got my $100 back 🙂

No worries 😀
