Hi,
I'm a 2nd year medical student and I would love to do some of my electives in Europe (preferably in the UK or France). Any tips?
Thanks,
Gladys
I can find out for you for France. Which school do you attend? (Feel free to pm me if you wish.)

BTW, if your school has an exchange program with a French med school than doing a rotation here is very easy to arrange.

I was wondering the same thing but in Spain...if anyone has any clue how to go about this...thanks!

Alacitedesanges, you might want to check to see if your school is part of MICEFA. They organize exchange programs between American and Parisian universities. Just click on "American Students" then "Programme" and then "Medicine".

Good luck.

I went to school in Nice before moving to the US and starting over. Long story... Anyway, my school was pretty open to foreign students. We always had a bunch of German students visiting for the full year. That was through Erasmus though... I've never seen American students visiting, but there were a lot of American residents. You may want to give it a try. You'll have fun outside of your rotation too: great location (French Riviera), mild weather, lots of clubbing if you're interested. One of the prettiest cities in France if you ask me.

Contact the "Bureau des Affaires Internationales". The school website is http://medecine.unice.fr.

Good luck and PM me if you need.

There is an English program which participates in the Erasmus for European students. There are many scandanavians and some Americans also studying there. I'm not sure they have rotations for US students, but it would be nice if they did. www.dote.hu GL
