How many times can you say the same exact thing? If anyone has any tips on reiterating the same interest multiple times in different language, please advise!

ugh, i know the feeling. i'm trying to keep things short, like always one page and i just keep on saying, i'm still interested, i love your school etc etc. take me!

what else to say?

Well, do you

1. discuss your particular career goals and how that matches the schools strengths

2. explain what about their curriculum excites you

3. tell them what you have been doing since interview

4. tell them what you are going to do this summer which will enhance your app

5. explain why the school and you are a good fit and what you could contribute to the entering class

6. mention specific programs or researchers at their school you hope to work with.

Is there anyone at the school (faculty, researcher, etc.) whom you could contact? After I was WL'd at U of C, I called someone there who knew my research advisor, just to chat and find out more about what he was doing, so that I could decide whether to pursue the school or not. After we hung up, he e-mailed me to say that he'd put in a good word for me at the admissions office. I wound up withdrawing before the WL started moving, so I don't know if would have worked, but the point is that if you have a contact OUTSIDE the admissions office, use it. Good luck!
