Rush waitlisted - Any chance of Acceptance?

Does anybody have any experience on being waitlisted with Rush? Is there any realistic chance of being accepted there or should I bank on with whom I'm already accepted with and keep moving forward with them. The letter I received from Rush said they accept 250 applicants for 128 seats.

I am waitlisted too. Did you get the email about the re-evaluation of our files? I guess we find out May 10 which third of the wait list we are in.

I did get that email. May 10th it is! 3 weeks and we should have a good idea of where we stand.

i think i saw an old thread (2 years ago maybe?) that said something like the top 25% of the list are accepted. It would be cool if someone found that thread.

For what it's worth, at my Rush interview, one of the admissions people (or maybe an MS-2, I forget) said it varies from year to year and that two years ago, they took like 60 people off, exhausting the top priority list. Last year they only took like five off, which is an anomaly. I don't know if my numbers are exact, but that was the jist of it.

I bet they took fewer off last year because they interviewed all the way through May (i think). However, this year they stopped interviewing over a month, if not more, earlier than that. So, my guess is that they should have a good amount of spots open up come late may, june and july. fingers crossed!

five people That's pretty dismal. I hope we have a lot of movement too.
