I am done interviewing at DO schools and have been accepted to these three. I honestly liked all of them and am having a hard time narrowing it down. Any advice/insight is appreciated. I have a wife and kids so having a support system is very important.

None have mandatory attendance nor a strict dress code

RVU-CO
Pro
Friends close, but no fam
Requires USMLE, great board scores from what I saw
Really Liked the facilities/students/"feel" of the school
Cheapest tuition of the three. (only like 5kish cheaper than COMPNW though)
Wife and I really liked the Parker area/lots to do in Colorado
Honors/Pass/Fail

Con
cost of living is pretty high. thats it.

AZCOM
Pro
liked the campus the most of the three
Wife and I love AZ. she said she would be happiest here.
Family support close
Would like to live in AZ/do residency here
cheaper cost of living
overall just seemed like a solid program
family-friendly environment

Con
tuition is crazy. if it weren't for this AZCOM would be the obvious choice
Letter grading system which I don't like.

COMP-NW
Pro
closest to family (I am from Oregon).
would be able to rotate in Oregon
I liked the atmosphere. seemed like a tight-knit, family like group
Western seems to have a good rep on the west coast
Cost of living is pretty cheap

Con
didn't like the rural aspect of it much. more of a city guy
family wasn't really digging it

Happy wife, happy life.

Seriously, I'd pick AZCOM for the solid program even though the $$$. Having family support in this process is priceless as is having a happy spouse when that person may bear some of the pain of your absences, long hours and stress.

Just my opinion, but all that the Phoenix, AZ area has to offer is scorching heat, concrete, and scorpions. Out of curiosity, what made you guys love it there? Besides the family and cost of living.

Weve visited AZ many times, and we just like the heat and the desert, dunno why

This is between AZCOM and RVU IMO. And RVU is much cheaper, has a better grading system, better curriculum, they do very well on boards overall, and neither of them will limit your ability to match back on the west coast (specialty dependent of course).

Plus Parker is better than Phoenix IMO

People are matching into Opthmaology, Derm and Plastic Surgery from COMP-NW this year. If you are seriously thinking about specializing, this will be the school to go.
