S1 or 41? What's UP with the choices?

I am on the semester system--but when I am adding semesters on AMCAS, there seem to be two complete sets of choices for adding a semester on the semester system. Both have the same titles ("1st semester (fall)", "2d semester (spring)", etc)--but they have different codes---41, 42 etc. as opposed to s1, s2. Which one am I supposed to use? Does it matter? Thanks!

Use the ones with S1 and S2... well at least thats what i used... check with someone else that posts and see if what i say matches up...

I have a semester system too and was also confused. Then I went to the help section and pick S1 and S2 because it designates a semester system. The other option, 41 and 42, indicates a 4-4, 4-8-4, 4-4 system I think.
