Salary for postgraduate fellowship?

I was just wondering what the typical salaries are for post-graduate research fellowships. I'm contemplating not entering the match this year and doing a fellowship that some doctors I've worked with would be willing to create for me. However, they have asked me what my salary requirements would be, and I have no idea what to say. Does $30-35K/year seem reasonable?
