Got any literature to back this up? There are no wage protection laws for business owners! :laugh:

Salary would most likely depend on how many degrees you have, the trauma level of the hospital, the number of residents below you, the number of attendings working at the hospital, the number of residencies at the hospital, the amount of OR rooms at the hospital, and the location and whether or not it is a county or university hospital.
 
Obviously the "dream" is a premature ejaculation based on salary. Throw this guy the bone, YES! Oral surgeons can make tons of coin! In private practice you will likely make 200 -500 k within the first few years of practice. In the hospital based setting you will make a bit less, but you will be compensated with the continuous ego boost by poo pooing on dental students, residents, and others for their lack of knowledge.
