I been trying and trying and trying to learn more than 85% of this book but god da*n, there is no ending to the amount of information this book provides.

Its like, every page has more than 10 things that seems to be too important to just read through and not learn / memorize it all..

My question is, for the people who recently took the DAT, which of the 33 chapters of the book are the once that a person should REALLY pay alot of attention to.

i have this book, are you reading the "solved problems" section to? thats soooo long

I have that book too....i didnt read those solved problems....but i read upto chap 19 then i stopped....thought i was wasting my time. Its too much info & there is no way that i will be able to memorize all that. So i thought that i will just memorize the kaplan blue book, which i read about 6 months ago in winter break. So i am focusing on that now.

Im doing everything man... the chapters, the solved problems and the mutiple choice problems... gives you good over view of every single side of biology.... but man its sooo much Info....

I don't know which chapters to focus on the most... I

I can say that i have memorized that book (or so think) and I think every part of that book is really important. Just to show that its not just what you know but you must be able to apply what you learned if a question arises. That will help you alot in answering a questions.

So, I wouldn't just memorize the stuff but instead learn everything and must be able to apply it before you move on to the next chapter. I know it might take a while but believe me it will be well worth it!!

Just my $0.02

I just started working on destroyer's bio questions after reading & understanding kaplan's (blue book) bio chapters. I am still on Q 10...but out of those i was only able to answer 2 questions. Rest of them... I was like what are they talking about? In my opinion you cannot answer destroyer's questions just by reading kaplan's bio chaps. I even went back & tried to find the answers for those questions in kaplan's book, but i couldnt. But i was able to find each & every single topic in Schuam's outlines for biology. If real DAT is anything like Destroyer then i would really suggest to read Schuam's outlines for bio. May be i shouldnt make judgement based on 10 questions but still....

We will see how it works out in later questions. Just wanted to let you guys know about this!

Looks like I was wrong in my post above about wasting time by reading Schuam's outlines....after all it is important!

highlighting everything i need to further study (not too much), and read every solved problem, and answered every supplemental problem...

I spend 4 hrs Friday, 10 hrs Saturday, and 10 hrs today. So literally a full day...

The supplemental questions seem way too easy... but the solved problems are pretty detailed, and in my opinion worthwhile (haven't taken DAT yet)

I'm going to spend the next week cuddling with the general, organic and biological shaum's outline... I'm a lot more worried about the chem/ochem sections... did anyone find this outline particularly useful? if so how did you sue it?
