Hello,
I'm a medical student in the process of filing out my tax forms. I received a loan interest statement from my lender ($669) and scholarship and grants information broken down into those that are billed for qualified tuition ($43,400) and scholarships and grants ($1,675). Should I include these amounts on my 1040 and if I do, where on what form do these amounts get noted? Thank you.

This is a quote from Turbotax Premiere 2007:
qualified scholarships (those used to pay for tuition, fees, books, or equipment at an accredited college) are not considered taxable income.
Scholarships used for room and board are considered taxable income.
