Hi All,

Wondering if I'd be competitive for the MDs I'm applying to and if I should include more. I'm applying to 5/6 DOs as well for safety measures.

State of Residency: Hawaii

Undergrad: Top 40

Major: Neuro

GPA: upward trend (somewhat?)
Year 1: 2.55 fml
Year 2: 3.63
Year 3: 3.56
Year 4: 3.71
Post-bac: 3.82 (5 night courses, taken while working, all BCPM)

MCAT: 514 (132/126/127/129)

Ethnicity: ORM/Korean ㅠㅠ (why tf are there so many of us in medicine)

ECs:
~300hrs clinical volunteering
~400hrs community service volunteering
~500hrs proofreading sermons for some Korean pastors I know
~uhh probably like 5000+hrs since I worked full time for 2 years and in a lab for 3 years as an undergrad
- 2 pubs, 1 in Leukemia, 1 in Cell. Not first/second author tho.
- dog**** pianist for 15+ years. 10/10 would make chopin roll over in his grave

Strong [hopefully] LORs (2 from PIs, 2 from professors)

Shadowing: none.. am I boned?

South Dakota accepts very few non residents with no connections to the state. I suggest adding more schools and consider these:
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
George Washington
TCU UNT
